Business Acceleration Programme Produces 10 Globally Competitive MSMEs
Ten of the best micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) have been selected as champions in the Pertapreneur Aggregator (PAG) 2025-2026 programme after undergoing a rigorous series of coaching and selection processes. The business actors were assessed as having strong business performance, measurable social impact, and the potential to grow in international markets.
Pertamina’s Vice President of CSR and SMEPP Management, Rudi Ariffianto, explained that the Pertapreneur Aggregator is designed to produce MSMEs that not only grow commercially but also become drivers of the business ecosystem by empowering other MSME players. “This programme aims to create business aggregators capable of opening market access, building collaboration, and helping other MSMEs grow and move up together,” Rudi stated.
The programme selected 100 top MSMEs from a total of 730 participants in the UMK Academy 2025, hailing from various regions across Indonesia. Participants then underwent a series of development stages, including selection, in-depth interviews, bootcamps, business mentoring, business acceleration, field visits, and the opening of international market access.
From this process, ten outstanding MSMEs were chosen based on excellence in business performance, market access, impact as aggregators, brand strength, and business development readiness. Novio Fresh achieved the title of Integrated Market Access Champion and became the overall winner of the Pertapreneur Aggregator 2025-2026. Second and third places were secured by Rendang Gadih and Imago Raw Honey, respectively.
Rudi noted that the programme is part of efforts to strengthen the grassroots economy through the development of MSMEs that are innovative, sustainable, and have a broad impact on society. “We want to encourage the emergence of MSMEs that not only grow from a business perspective but are also able to create greater benefits by empowering other business actors,” he said.
Throughout the programme, participants received mentoring on various critical aspects, such as business strategy, marketing, financial management, the application of ESG principles, digitalisation, and market development. Additionally, all champion MSMEs obtained business acceleration certification, professional assessor mentoring, and access to a monitoring system based on Objective Key Results (OKR) to support more measurable and sustainable business growth.
The programme also recorded significant social impact. Based on a Social Return on Investment (SROI) measurement, every Rp1 invested in the programme generated social, economic, and environmental benefits worth Rp2.21.
As further support for business development, production facility grants totalling Rp495 million were distributed to the champions and semi-finalist MSMEs. Participants also gained access to international markets through business matching activities and the provision of market information in collaboration with the Indonesian Trade Attachés in Malaysia and Brussels, Belgium. This step is expected to expand business networks while enhancing the readiness of Indonesian MSMEs to enter export markets.
Pertamina’s Vice President of Corporate Communication, Muhamad Baron, assessed that the programme’s success demonstrates the significant potential of national MSMEs to grow and compete at a global level. “The journey from hundreds of participants to the selection of ten champions proves that Indonesian MSMEs have the capacity to grow into businesses that are resilient, innovative, and provide positive benefits to society,” he concluded.
