Business-27 Index Closes Weaker, While ANTM and PTBA Remain Profitable
The Business-27 index closed weaker in trading on Wednesday (9/9/2026). Nevertheless, constituent stocks such as ANTM and PTBA continued to strengthen by more than 3%.
According to IDX Mobile, this daily index, a result of the collaboration with Bisnis Indonesia, weakened by 0.65% to 465.27. Throughout the trading session, the index moved within a range of 452.71 to 460.46.
The decline in the index was in line with the majority of its constituent stocks, which closed lower. Fourteen constituent stocks closed in correction, nine stocks strengthened, and four remained stagnant.
The nine stocks that remained strong included AKRA, which closed up 1.64% to Rp1,550; ANTM, which strengthened by 3.90% to Rp3,200; BBRI, which closed up 0.29% to Rp3,420; and MEDC, which rose 2.61% to Rp1,575.
Furthermore, PGAS shares rose 0.32% to Rp1,545, PTBA rose 3.33% to Rp3,100, TAPG rose 3.81% to Rp2,450, TLKM strengthened by 0.38% to Rp2,660, and UNTR closed up 0.48% at Rp26,000.
On the other hand, several constituent stocks that closed weaker included ASII, which corrected by 1.62% to Rp4,850; BBCA, which weakened by 2.25% to Rp6,252; BBNI, which fell 1.29% to Rp3,820; BMRI, which weakened by 0.90% to Rp4,390; and BUMI, which dropped 1.77% to Rp222.
Currently, the Business-27 index level still reflects a 0.70% increase over the past week and has even grown by 25.57% in the last three months. With this recent decline, the Business-27 index has closed weaker in 4 out of 7 trading days throughout September 2026.
The condition of the Business-27 index also reflects the overall stock market condition. At Wednesday’s (9/9) close, the Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) also weakened by 0.12% to 6,678.20.
