Use proper
Indonesian on TV

The law on broadcasting has stipulated that the main medium of
communication in Indonesian broadcasting should be Bahasa
Indonesia. Unfortunately, in many programs for children,
teenagers and adults, aired by all TV stations in Indonesia, the
language used is not good and proper Indonesian. In short, the
language used in many TV programs does not reflect the Indonesian
identity.

Therefore it is time that the Indonesian Language Center took
action against this tendency and played an active role to ensure
that TV programs use good and correct Indonesian, as stipulated
by the law on broadcasting.

It is also the job of th Indonesian Broadcasting Commission
(KPI) to show some muscle in this respect.
