Bus to Kampung Rambutan: Accident in Cianjur Injures 20 Passengers

The accident occurred on Jalan Raya Puncak-Cugenang, Desa Cibeureum, Kecamatan Cugenang, Kabupaten Cianjur, West Java, on Thursday, 21 May 2026. Information gathered indicates that the crash began when a bus with registration F-7669-WA was travelling from Jakarta towards Cianjur. However, as it passed through Desa Cibeureum, an area with a downhill slope and sharp bends, the bus struck the rear of a truck with registration F-8138-WX travelling in the same direction. The bus then came to a stop after veering into a ditch on the left edge of the road, with the bus nearly overturning. The Head of the Gakkum Unit of the Cianjur Police, Ipda Ahmad Prio Gunawan, said his team was still investigating the crash. All victims had been evacuated to the local puskesmas for medical treatment. There were no fatalities. About 20 people were injured. Officers are continuing to work to recover the vehicles involved in the crash.
