Among the readers writing letters to the editor, there are
sure to be some victims of the strike by minibus drivers.
Frankly, I do not know what caused this strike, but I and many
others feel victimized.

What surprised me was why in such a situation the authorities
responsible did not immediately take any measures. For example,
PPD buses or other means of transport could have been made
available. If necessary even government or Armed Forces buses
could have been mobilized.

I do not want to dwell on the question of why the bus crews
went on strike. However, this case should provide input for the
authorities in making their decisions in order that unnecessary
incidents such as this can be avoided.
