Bus plunges
into ravine

AMBON, Maluku: Fifteen people were killed when their bus
plunged into a ravine at Liliboy, west of here, on Wednesday.

Police are investigating the reason the Libers bus went off
the road.

Witnesses said 12 of the victims were killed on impact, while
the three others died on their way to the hospital.

Four other passengers were admitted to the intensive care unit
at the Ambon General Hospital.

The chief of the Intensive Care Unit, D.J. Kelrey, said most
of the deceased had died of severe head injuries, and that the
majority of the victims had broken limbs. (emb)
