Bungo Police Find No Illegal Street Racing or Motorcycle Gangs During Patrol

The Bungo Police did not find any illegal street racing or motorcycle gang activity during a joint patrol aimed at anticipating disturbances to public security and order in Bungo Regency, Jambi. Head of Operations for the Bungo Police, AKP B.M. Pasaribu, stated on Sunday that the large-scale patrol is conducted routinely as a preventative measure against illegal racing, motorcycle gangs, and street crime. The patrol took place from Saturday (18/7) at 9.45 pm local time until the early hours of Sunday, targeting a number of roads and areas prone to security disturbances in Bungo Regency. A total of 109 joint personnel were deployed in the patrol, comprising elements from the Indonesian National Police, the Indonesian National Armed Forces, the Civil Service Police Unit, and the Transportation Agency. In addition to patrolling, officers inspected vehicles suspected of violating traffic regulations and urged teenagers not to get involved in illegal racing or motorcycle gang activities. According to Pasaribu, similar patrols will continue to be carried out routinely and expanded to residential areas, boarding houses, and lodgings that have the potential to cause security and order disturbances. Throughout the patrol, the security and public order situation in Bungo Regency was observed to be safe and conducive. “We invite all young people to fill their time with positive activities. Do not get involved in illegal racing or motorcycle gangs because it can endanger safety and potentially violate the law,” said Pasaribu.
