BPJS Kesehatan, together with the Poso Regency Government in Central Sulawesi and other public service offices, has launched the Bupati Ngantor di Desa (Bunga Desa) Programme to provide easier access to services for National Health Insurance (JKN) participants in Tiwa’a Village, Poso Pesisir District. “This Bunga Desa Programme was held in Tiwa’a Village. The travel time from Poso City is about one and a half hours, covering a distance of approximately 30 kilometres,” said HS Rumondang Pakpahan, Head of the Palu Branch of BPJS Kesehatan, in Poso on Friday. The activity, which has been running for about four years and is scheduled once a month, is highly effective as BPJS Kesehatan can reach all levels of society, particularly JKN participants who need services at the BPJS Kesehatan Office. Public enthusiasm appears quite high, judging by the BPJS Kesehatan service counters which are always crowded with visitors. “No fewer than 100 participants are served per day. Most participants make data changes, whether for newborn babies or changes to their First-Level Health Facility (FKTP),” said Rumondang. “We provide the same services as those at the office, from registering new participants, adding family members, changing participant data, providing information, and so on,” he said. He mentioned that the agencies joining the Bunga Desa Programme include the Population and Civil Registration Office (Disdukcapil), the Social Service, banks, and other public service agencies. Rumondang added that active JKN membership coverage in Poso Regency as of June 2026 totalled 227,118 people out of a total population of 256,672, reaching 88.49 percent. He expressed hope that the Bunga Desa Programme could educate participants with overdue contributions to join the instalment programme or Rehab (Rencana Pembayaran Bertahap). One of the Contribution Assistance Beneficiary (PBI) segment participants receiving services at the time was Deby (36), a resident of Tiwa’a Village. She admitted to being greatly helped by the Bunga Desa Programme because she did not have to travel far to take care of matters at the BPJS Kesehatan office and other public services. “I handled various matters, from Disdukcapil to BPJS Kesehatan. Everything was easy, smooth, and without spending a single penny,” she said. Deby hopes the Bunga Desa Programme will be held more often so that the community can easily access needed services and obtain the latest information regarding government programmes. “I am grateful because amidst economic difficulties, the government is present to provide easy services to the community in their village,” said Deby.
