Recently, quite a lot exhibitions and the like have been held
at the East Park of the "Bung Karno" Sports Center, at Senayan,
Jakarta. In fact, to hire a space in the area is very costly and
various extra charges must be covered.

For example, the official charge for holding an exhibition is
Rp 100 million; while there is an unofficial fee to be paid
amounting to 250 percent of the official rent. Not to mention the
rent for the parking lot and fees for the security personnel.
Unfortunately the expensive rent is not matched with improvement
off various facilities such as toilets, comfortable and tidy
sidewalk vendors etc.

Now that the area has been renamed Gelora Bung Karno (Bung
Karno Sports Center), the management of the center should free
from the New Order habit i.e. corruption.
