Jakarta (ANTARA) - The BUMN Regulatory Body (BP BUMN) together with the Nusantara Future Power Investment Management Agency (Danantara) is accelerating the restructuring of BUMN Karya through strengthening governance, improving financial reports, and increasing regulatory compliance. The Head of BP BUMN and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Danantara, Dony Oskaria, stated that these steps are directed towards building a healthier, more transparent, and accountable national construction sector. “Transformation does not focus solely on financial aspects but also encompasses strengthening governance, compliance with regulations, and enhancing transparency,” Dony said in his statement in Jakarta on Thursday. He conveyed this during a meeting with the boards of directors of all BUMN Karya to discuss strategic steps to accelerate transformation and improve company performance. In the meeting, BP BUMN and Danantara emphasised the importance of improving more realistic and credible financial reports as part of the foundation for good corporate governance. Additionally, strengthening the principles of transparency and compliance with regulations is also a focus in the ongoing restructuring process. According to Dony, strengthening governance and improving the financial performance of BUMN Karya needs to be carried out sustainably to ensure the company’s foundation becomes healthier. He assessed that these steps are also important for increasing stakeholder trust in BUMN Karya. “Through these steps, BUMN Karya is expected to become healthier, more credible, and have strong competitiveness,” he said. BP BUMN and Danantara target more directed and measurable restructuring so that BUMN Karya can become an important pillar in sustainable national infrastructure development.
