BUMN Executives Barred from Using Company Facilities for Family, Under New Rules
PT Danantara Asset Management (Persero) has issued Circular Letter No. SE/002/DI-DAM/DO/2025 on Guidelines for the Conduct and Professionalism of Directors and Boards of Commissioners. The circular was established in Jakarta on 31 October 2025 and signed by President Director Dony Oskaria.
One of the most closely watched provisions concerns the use of company facilities, including accommodation and protocol services, for personal purposes.
The rules state that company facilities may be used only for operational and business activities, not for personal or family purposes. Their use must also comply with the applicable provisions, be reasonable and take the company’s financial circumstances into account.
“Company facilities may only be used to support the company’s operational and business activities, not for personal or family purposes,” the rules state.
The rules also prohibit directors and commissioners from using protocol services, patrols and road escorts for personal purposes or non-operational activities. Protocol services are restricted to official duties and must be used with reasonable frequency, in line with standards of protocol etiquette.
Patrols and road escorts may not be used for routine operational activities. If required for specific purposes, their use must comply with the applicable laws and regulations.
The guidelines also bar directors and commissioners from allowing family members to use official vehicles, travel and accommodation arrangements, or other company facilities if this would result in additional costs being charged to the company.
