The 15th BUMN Award 2026 ceremony was held at the Borobudur Hotel in Jakarta on Tuesday, 10 March 2026, organised by BUMN Track in partnership with BTA Academy. The event recognised various state-owned enterprises across multiple award categories.

Dr. Ir. Arief Yahya, M.Sc., Chair of the BUMN Award 2026 Jury, stated that the ceremony’s theme, “BUMN Towards Golden Indonesia: Strong Governance, Sustainable Economic Value,” aligns with the ongoing transformation phase of Indonesia’s state-owned sector.

According to Arief, strong governance extends beyond compliance to encompass system integrity, transparent decision-making, adaptive risk management, and maintained public accountability. Sustainable economic value requires SOEs to generate profit whilst ensuring sustainability, resilience, and multiplier effects for the national economy.

PT Pupuk Indonesia was recognised for strengthening industrial efficiency and implementing robust Good Corporate Governance (GCG). These efforts were deemed capable of supporting long-term competitiveness in the fertiliser industry and supporting the national food self-sufficiency programme.

Reflecting this achievement, Pupuk Indonesia’s President Director Rahmad Pribadi was appointed The Best CEO for Visionary Leadership in the BUMN and BUMN Subsidiary Company category.

Additionally, Pupuk Indonesia won three further corporate awards: First place for Best Growth Strategy; First place for Best Strategic Collaboration; and Second place for Best Organisational Transformation.

“For Pupuk Indonesia, business transformation is imperative through factory revitalisation improvements coupled with strengthened governance as the foundation for maintaining company performance and, importantly, for reinforcing our contribution to sustaining Indonesia’s food self-sufficiency,” said Rahmad Pribadi.

The award recognised Pribadi’s success in strengthening efficiency and production optimisation, including the construction and revitalisation of seven factories over the next five years; securing fertiliser raw material supply; and expanding distribution capabilities nationwide.

Furthermore, Pupuk Indonesia is preparing several strategic development measures for the coming years, including portfolio expansion and diversification such as methanol development and derivatives; clean ammonia business development; and industrial support services.

These strategic initiatives simultaneously support Pupuk Indonesia’s role in enhancing more effective national subsidised fertiliser management in terms of both distribution and production efficiency. This aligns with Presidential Regulation Number 113 of 2026, which refines Presidential Regulation Number 6 of 2025.

Through efficiency gains, the government reduced subsidised fertiliser retail prices by 20 per cent in October 2025, the first such reduction in history.

Pupuk Indonesia maintains equilibrium between business growth and government mandate fulfilment to ensure subsidised fertiliser availability and affordability for farmers, an achievement that contributed to the company winning first place for Best Growth Strategy.
