Bumi Resources Officially Launches New Logo
PT Bumi Resources Tbk has officially announced the launch of its new company logo, marking an important milestone in the company’s transformation towards a more diversified and globally competitive natural resources enterprise.
“This new identity reflects not only who we are today, but also the direction in which we are heading,” stated Reno Wicaksono, Group Head of Corporate Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility at Bumi, during the logo launch ceremony in Jakarta on Thursday, 12 March.
The new logo represents the evolution of Bumi Resources from a coal-focused company into a diversified natural resources enterprise. The company is currently expanding its portfolio into high-value mineral sectors including gold, copper, and bauxite, whilst developing downstream operations and strengthening long-term sustainability initiatives.
The new logo design draws inspiration from topographic contour lines, symbolising the company’s close relationship with nature and its responsibility in managing natural resources.
The new visual identity will be implemented gradually across various corporate communication materials, operational locations, digital platforms, and investor communications throughout 2026. Bumi Resources emphasised that the rebranding does not affect the company’s legal status, corporate structure, or its share code on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI).
Christopher Fong, Chief Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Officer at Bumi, noted that the logo change occurs at an opportune moment, given the current transition and diversification away from thermal coal. “We are not abandoning thermal coal, but we are moving into other areas. We now have investments in copper and gold in Australia, and we have announced some interesting investments in Indonesia this year which we will discuss further regarding bauxite and aluminium,” he explained.
“The change we need is to send a message to the market, both in Indonesia and globally, because we believe Bumi Resources is an Indonesian company, but based on international standards. Our processes and operations are above higher standards. And our image needs to be modernised,” he added.
