Jakarta, VIVA – President Director and CEO of PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS), Agoes Projosasmito, has stated that the Forest Area Enforcement Task Force (Satgas PKH) sealed off one area where unauthorised land clearing in a forest zone by illegal miners was discovered.

He explained that the sealed area forms part of the contract of work managed by PT Citra Palu Minerals (CPM) in Palu, Sulawesi, which to date has not yet been mined or operated by CPM.

“The River Reef gold mine site in Poboya, Palu, which is currently being operated by CPM through open pit mining methods, continues to operate normally as usual,” said Agoes in a statement on Monday, 16 February 2026.

Director and Chief Legal Officer of BRMS, Muhammad Sulthon, explained that one of CPM’s gold processing facilities is currently undergoing a capacity upgrade from 500 to 2,000 tonnes of ore per day.

The plant capacity expansion is expected to be completed in October 2026.

“This will have a positive impact on BRMS’s gold production increase in 2026,” he said.

Meanwhile, Director and Chief Investor Relations of BRMS, Herwin Hidayat, added that CPM is also targeting the commencement of operations at its underground gold mine in the second half of 2027.

“Given that the underground gold mine has gold content in the range of 3.5–4.9 g/t, BRMS’s gold production is expected to increase further by the end of 2027 or early 2028,” he said.
