Jakarta – PT Bumi Resources Tbk has launched a new logo as part of its corporate identity overhaul. The rebranding marks the company’s strategic transformation from a coal-focused enterprise into a diversified natural resources company with a broader portfolio of minerals.

Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Christopher Fong stated that the new visual identity reflects the evolution of the company’s business strategy. Bumi Resources is now expanding operations into high-value mineral sectors, including gold, copper, and bauxite.

“This is part of our diversification and transformation, from a company previously focused on coal into one that is developing various minerals and other natural resources,” Christopher said during a press conference in South Jakarta on Thursday, 12 March 2026.

The company is taking this step to align the Bumi Resources brand with global corporate standards. “This represents the modernisation of Bumi Resources. We want to bring the brand to international standards. Whilst previously we were known more as a traditional Indonesian company, this new identity is intended to reflect an Indonesian company with global standards,” he explained.

The company is targeting strengthened operations in the metals and minerals sector going forward. The coal business will remain one of the main operational pillars. However, the company is beginning to increase focus on developing other mineral commodities.

“Going forward we will focus increasingly on metals and minerals. Whilst coal remains an important part, we will also expand into copper, gold, and various other minerals,” Fong said.

The design elements symbolise the company’s connection to nature and its responsibility in managing natural resources.
