BUMI Announces New Logo, Revealing the Philosophy Behind It
Jakarta — Mining company PT Bumi Resources Tbk. (BUMI) has announced a change to its corporate logo, marking a significant milestone in the company’s transformation journey. Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Christopher Fong stated that the new logo represents the company’s ambitions to become an increasingly diversified and globally competitive natural resource enterprise.
“Our logo has existed for 20 years or more and was rather traditional. We felt the need to change our image,” Fong said at Plaza Senayan in Jakarta on Thursday, 12 March 2026. “We are not just changing the logo; we are transforming our entire structure.”
The company is currently expanding its portfolio into high-value mineral sectors including gold, copper, and bauxite, whilst also developing downstream processing and strengthening various long-term sustainability initiatives.
The new logo design draws inspiration from topographical contour lines, symbolising the company’s close relationship with nature and its responsibility in managing natural resources. The flowing green lines represent renewal and sustainability, whilst bespoke modern typography reflects the company’s spirit of innovation and global ambitions.
“This is an Indonesian company, but one that reaches for and upholds international standards,” Fong explained. “With this new logo identity comes fresh momentum. And it is not just the logo; transformation is being carried out across the entire company.”
The new visual identity will be rolled out gradually throughout 2026 across various corporate communication materials, operational locations, digital platforms, and investor communication materials.
