BUMA targets business opportunities in logistics and energy transition
Logistics and energy are two sectors closely linked to economic activity.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Badan Usaha Milik Ansor (BUMA) is targeting business opportunities in the logistics and energy transition sectors through BUMA Logistic & Energy and the development of electric vehicles and solar panels together with Omovo.
“BUMA’s entry into the logistics and energy sectors is a step to build capabilities gradually in fields that have broad linkages with economic activity,” said Firmana Tri Andika, President Director of PT BUMA Bintang Perkasa and CEO of BUMA, in a statement in Jakarta on Saturday.
“The collaboration with Omovo is one of the initial steps to explore the development of electric vehicles and solar panels with a measured approach,” he added.
He said that in the initial phase, BUMA will focus on mapping market needs, strengthening networks, and developing partnership models before expanding its business in these sectors.
Firmana continued that this approach is necessary so that business line development does not stop at product introduction, but can form a business model with continuity.
“We want to ensure that every business development starts from market needs and has a clear collaboration model. Therefore, in the initial phase we will strengthen market understanding, partner networks, and the capacity required before further expansion,” he said.
The collaboration with Omovo includes exploring the development of electric vehicles and solar panels as part of the development of BUMA Logistic & Energy.
This step also opens opportunities for BUMA to expand its partnership network in the transportation and energy sectors.
“The development of this business line is part of BUMA’s portfolio, which covers a number of strategic sectors, with a business development approach through partnerships and capacity strengthening,” said Firmana.
Furthermore, BUMA is also developing training and certification activities in the fields of economics and business, entrepreneurship development through Club Usaha Ansor (CUAN), as well as consultation and partnerships with various parties.
“For BUMA, this business development is directed at building a business base that can grow professionally while opening broader access to economic opportunities,” said Firmana.
Meanwhile, Addin Jauharudin, General Chairman of the Central Board of the Ansor Youth Movement, said that the development of the logistics and energy sectors needs to be directed at building interconnected business chains while opening broader economic access for the community.
“Logistics and energy are two sectors that are closely linked to economic activity. Efficiency in the movement of goods affects costs and business competitiveness, while the need for increasingly efficient and sustainable energy drives the emergence of new opportunities along the business chain,” said Addin.
