Jakarta, VIVA – PT BUMA Internasional Grup Tbk (DOID), through its subsidiary PT Bukit Makmur Mandiri Utama (BUMA), has signed a long-term contract with PT Adaro Indonesia effective from 1 April 2026 to 31 December 2030.

The contract was agreed by both parties to secure the continuity of BUMA’s operations at the Tutupan Selatan Mine in Tanjung Tabalong, South Kalimantan.

BUMA President Director Ronald Sutardja said the contract extension reflects the consistency of the company’s operational performance and its capability to manage technically complex mining operations with high safety and reliability standards.

“We are proud to announce this significant contract extension with Adaro Indonesia, one of our valued long-term partners,” Ronald said in a statement on Monday, 23 February 2026.

Under the terms and conditions of the contract, BUMA is expected to carry out overburden removal of approximately 239 million bank cubic metres (bcm) and produce 44 million tonnes of coal. This is equivalent to average annual volumes of 50.5 million bcm and 9.3 million tonnes respectively.

According to Ronald, the contract will further strengthen the long-term partnership between BUMA and Adaro Indonesia, which has been established for more than 20 years. It will also consolidate the Group’s contract-based revenue base and enhance long-term financial performance visibility.

“This contract strengthens our revenue visibility whilst affirming BUMA’s position as a trusted mining services partner in Indonesia,” Ronald said.

In line with its operational activities, BUMA remains committed to empowering communities in the Tabalong region through various programmes focused on education, health, environmental protection, and social and cultural development.

Flagship initiatives include the JIKAMAKA computer skills workshops, Youth Broadcasting Class for creative industry development, the Kampung Iklim environmental programme, and support for local small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

These efforts have received numerous accolades, including recognition from the South Kalimantan Provincial Government for environmental contributions, an award from the Tabalong Regent for supporting Adipura initiatives and SME development, as well as recognition from the Tabalong youth community and regent for BUMA’s sustained commitment to supporting youth and community development.
