Bulungan Regent hopes Merah Putih Cooperative transactions will be digital-based

Tanjung Selor, North Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Bulungan Regent Syarwani has affirmed that the Bulungan Regency Government fully supports the success of the national Village/Urban Ward Merah Putih Cooperative programme and hopes that financial transactions will be conducted on a digital basis.

“If it’s digital-based, for example using the QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) application, the sender can simply type it in,” he stated on Saturday.

With a digital basis, said Syarwani, it reduces or even eliminates the potential for reporting issues among cooperative managers that could have legal implications.

The aim of using digital transactions, he stressed, is none other than for the accountability of financial governance and the security of cooperative managers. It also ensures and supports the existence of national programmes in Bulungan Regency, one of which is the Merah Putih Cooperative.
