Bulog Yogyakarta Continues Active Grain Procurement from Farmers During Ramadan
Bulog Yogyakarta and its entire staff remain committed to carrying out the government’s mandate to the fullest, including during the fasting month, said Dedi Aprilyadi, head of Perum Bulog’s Yogyakarta Regional Office, in Yogyakarta on Monday.
The procurement programme forms part of the national target of four million tonnes, with a specific 2026 target for the Yogyakarta Regional Office of 195,920 tonnes of rice-equivalent.
As Ramadan begins, grain procurement activities continue to run optimally through the Food Collection Teams, which actively go into the field to purchase directly from farmers across various operational areas.
Based on realisation data as of 22 February 2026, grain and rice procurement in the Yogyakarta Regional Office’s operational area has reached 24,111 tonnes of rice-equivalent. This figure exceeds the procurement target set for the end of February 2026 of 14,876 tonnes of rice-equivalent.
“Accordingly, procurement has reached approximately 162 per cent of the target set for that period,” he said.
He added that the success in exceeding the February period target was inseparable from the cooperation of all parties, including local governments, the Indonesian Armed Forces, agricultural extension workers, milling partners, and farmer groups in the Yogyakarta Special Region and surrounding areas.
