Perum Bulog Surabaya Branch Office has distributed food assistance consisting of 20 kilograms of rice and 4 litres of cooking oil, covering a two-month allocation, to 181,442 food assistance beneficiaries (PBP) in Sidoarjo Regency.

The Branch Manager of Perum Bulog Surabaya, Nur Fuad Indra Mitra, stated in Surabaya on Sunday that the distributed food assistance represents the allocations for February and March 2026.

“In total, the assistance distributed in Sidoarjo Regency reached 3,268 tonnes of rice and 725,000 litres of cooking oil,” he said.

The distribution process took place over 10 days, involving various parties to ensure that the aid reached the community accurately, in the correct amount, and on time.

“The distribution of assistance was carried out through designated distribution points according to the schedule established in coordination with the local government and relevant stakeholders,” he added.

He noted that this food assistance programme is a tangible manifestation of the government’s presence in maintaining community food security while helping to meet the basic needs of beneficiary families.

“For Sidoarjo Regency, we have prepared all the necessary rice and cooking oil according to the established quantum, and we have ensured that the quality of the commodities distributed is in good and consumable condition,” he further explained.

The implementation of this assignment was carried out through close synergy between Perum Bulog, the Sidoarjo Regency Government, relevant Regional Apparatus Organisations (OPD), local authorities, and elements of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda).

“This collaboration is a crucial factor in ensuring that the government’s food assistance can be distributed effectively, orderly, safely, and precisely to all intended beneficiaries,” he concluded.
