Bulog Rejects Rumours That Its CEO Serves as Head of TNI Strategic Intelligence Agency

Perum Bulog has responded to the circulation of inaccurate and potentially misleading reports in several online media outlets regarding the profile of retired Lieutenant General TNI Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani. This includes narratives linking the position of Director-General of Perum Bulog with the role of Head of the Strategic Intelligence Agency (Kabais) of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI).

Head of Public Relations for Perum Bulog, Tomi Wijaya, emphasised that information linking the Director-General of Perum Bulog to the position of Kabais TNI is untrue (a hoax) and does not align with the facts.

“We must emphasise that the narrative claiming Director-General of Perum Bulog, retired Lieutenant General TNI Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani, serves as Kabais TNI is untrue and constitutes disinformation that could mislead the public,” said Tomi, quoted from a press release received on Saturday (28/3).

Furthermore, Tomi explained that the assignment of Director-General of Perum Bulog, Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani, is an official government decision through the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), now the State-Owned Enterprises Management Agency (BP BUMN).

“In accordance with applicable laws and regulations, he resigned upon his appointment as Director-General of Bulog and is now fully retired from the TNI,” Tomi added.

In light of the widespread dissemination of unverified information, Perum Bulog urges all media outlets and the public to prioritise verification and balance in reporting and to refrain from spreading unconfirmed information.
