On this occasion, in addition to rice stocks, Commission IV also verified the affordability of other food items through the Minyakita cooking oil distribution programme.
“This distribution achievement is part of the government’s efforts to maintain consumer purchasing power and stabilise food prices in the region,” he stated.
He further added that synergy with various stakeholders is key to the success of maintaining national food security.
“We continue to strengthen collaboration with ministries, institutions, food SOEs, and local governments to ensure smooth distribution to all corners of the country. This visit serves as a form of oversight as well as tangible support for Bulog to continuously improve its performance,” he said.
Bulog is committed to remaining a main pillar in realising sustainable food security and supporting increased domestic production for the welfare of the Indonesian people.
Furthermore, in addition to the inspection, the working visit was also accompanied by social care actions in the form of aid distribution to the surrounding community.
A total of 20 social aid packages were distributed to residents of Batu Cermin Village, as well as a water pump aid given to representatives of the Church of Mary, Mother of All Nations.
The aid was handed over directly by the Chairman of Commission IV of the DPR RI together with the President Director of Perum Bulog as a tangible manifestation of the state’s presence in assisting community needs while supporting access to water resources.
