Bulog Indramayu Distributes Premium Rice to Modern Retailers

Perum Bulog’s Indramayu Branch Office is supplying premium rice to the retail market. The public has been advised not to worry about rice availability. Apip Wijaya, Head of Perum Bulog’s Indramayu Branch Office, explained that in addition to distributing medium-quality rice under the Supply and Food Price Stabilisation Programme (SPHP), Bulog Indramayu is also distributing premium rice to several modern retailers in the Indramayu Regency area. “The public now has more choices to obtain quality rice at prices in accordance with government regulations,” he said on Thursday (6/8). The products being marketed include Punokawan Rice and Befood Rice in 5-kilogramme packaging. Both products are sold for Rp74,500 per package, equivalent to Rp14,900 per kilogramme, in line with the Highest Retail Price (HET) set by the government. To ensure supply remains secure, Perum Bulog throughout West Java currently holds approximately 20,000 tonnes of premium rice stock produced by Rice Milling Centres (SPP). These reserves are prepared to meet public needs while maintaining supply stability and rice prices in the market. “We hope the public does not engage in panic buying. We ensure that the distribution of both SPHP rice and premium rice will continue to be strengthened,” Apip stated. The needs of households, business operators, and modern retailers in Indramayu Regency are guaranteed to be met and food stability maintained.
