Indramayu — Perum Bulog’s Indramayu branch has commenced distribution of food assistance to food-insecure communities in Indramayu Regency, West Java, for the February-March 2026 allocation, reaching 314,129 food aid beneficiaries (PBP).

The branch head of Perum Bulog Indramayu, Sri Wahyuni, stated in Indramayu on Wednesday that the assistance comprises rice and cooking oil to help meet communities’ basic needs.

She explained that each beneficiary receives 20 kilogrammes of rice and a total of four litres of cooking oil, as the aid allocation is distributed simultaneously for two months.

“Each recipient will receive 20 kilogrammes of rice. Because the allocation covers two months at once, communities also receive a total of four litres of cooking oil,” she said.

According to her, the total rice distributed under the food assistance programme reaches approximately 6,282 tonnes.

Meanwhile, she said, the total cooking oil distributed to beneficiaries reaches approximately 1.26 million litres.

She stated that distribution commenced on 12 March 2026 across several villages, with the initial distribution phase implemented in three villages covering 1,915 beneficiaries.

She detailed that Karanganyar Village has 589 beneficiaries receiving assistance of 11,780 kilogrammes of rice and 2,356 litres of cooking oil.

Then, she said, in Kepandean Village, 480 beneficiaries received assistance of 9,600 kilogrammes of rice and 1,920 litres of cooking oil.

“Meanwhile, in Margadadi Village there are 846 beneficiaries receiving assistance of 16,920 kilogrammes of rice and 3,384 litres of cooking oil,” she said.

Overall, she continued, the total assistance distributed in the initial phase across the three villages reaches 38,300 kilogrammes of rice and 7,660 litres of cooking oil.

The organisation targets completion of the food assistance distribution process in these three villages before the Eid 2026 collective holiday period.

Meanwhile, Indramayu Regency Food Task Force member Ipda F. Yudha ensured that food quality has undergone comprehensive checking, including rice cooking tests and physical inspections and weighing.

“We will continue to supervise throughout the distribution process to prevent any irregularities,” he said.
