Bulog Holds 5.18 Million Tonnes of Rice Stock as of 2 July

Perum Bulog President Director Letjen TNI (Ret.) Ahmad Rizal Ramadhani announced that the agency currently holds a rice stock of 5.18 million tonnes as of 2 July 2026. This stock is the highest on record for that date. The rice reserves are stored in various warehouses with a total capacity of 6.36 million tonnes, leaving a remaining storage capacity of 1.18 million tonnes. Bulog’s procurement realisation target for 2026 is 4 million tonnes, and as of 2 July, the agency has absorbed 3.26 million tonnes, or 81.65 per cent of the target. Nationally, Bulog has distributed 408,000 tonnes of rice for the Food Supply and Price Stabilisation programme. Additionally, the realisation of food aid has reached 99 per cent, with 662,886 tonnes distributed to 33.14 million beneficiaries. During the inauguration of a food warehouse at the Bulog Regional Office complex in Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, Rizal commended the performance of local staff in both procurement and distribution of rice and maize. Current rice stocks in South Kalimantan stand at 22,317 tonnes, sufficient to last until mid-June 2027. The region’s rice procurement realisation is notably high at 8,948 tonnes, alongside 123 tonnes of maize. Distribution of SPHP rice in the region has also been high, reaching 8,428 tonnes or 74.81 per cent of the assignment. The warehouse inauguration was also attended by Chair of Commission IV of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Siti Hediati Hariyadi, known as Titiek Soeharto. She advised that the 3,500-tonne capacity warehouse must always maintain security and cleanliness. She also stressed that food stocks should not be stored for more than four months, urging high distribution realisation to ensure continuous stock rotation for new supplies.
