Bulog Ensures MinyaKita Sold at Official Price Ceiling in Gorontalo Central Market

State logistics company Bulog’s CEO Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani confirmed that MinyaKita cooking oil is being sold according to the Highest Retail Price (HET) at Pasar Sentral Gorontalo, following a surprise inspection. He stated that the inspection was conducted to ensure the availability of staple goods remains secure ahead of the XVII National Farmers and Fishermen’s Week (Penas) in 2026. Accompanied by his staff and related agencies, he visited several traders to monitor the prices of rice, cooking oil, chillies, shallots, and meat. “Prices in Gorontalo are relatively stable. SPHP medium rice is even sold at Rp60,000 per 5-kilogram pack. Premium rice is also still within a normal price range, as are chillies and shallots,” he said after engaging directly with the traders. Bulog has instructed all its branches across Indonesia to focus the distribution of MinyaKita on traditional markets, SP2KP markets, and Rumah Pangan Kita outlets. The company will not tolerate any violations in the distribution of MinyaKita and will impose strict sanctions, including the replacement of officials, on any branch or regional heads found to be distributing the product outside the designated channels. Retailers caught selling MinyaKita above the HET of Rp15,700 per litre will also have their sales permits revoked if the product originated from Bulog. This strict oversight aims to maintain supply stability and protect consumer purchasing power, particularly with the anticipated increase in economic activity during the upcoming National Farmers and Fishermen’s Week in Gorontalo.
