Bulog Ensures Continuous Distribution of MinyaKita
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Perum Bulog has stated that the distribution of MinyaKita continues to ensure a stable supply and price of cooking oil in the market.
Bulog’s Operations Director, Andi Afdal, said that the company manages stocks and distributes MinyaKita optimally in accordance with the government’s directives.
“The distribution of MinyaKita continues to be carried out in a measured and sustainable manner,” Andi said in a written statement on Friday (1/5/2026).
According to Andi, the people’s cooking oil is channelled consistently through various distribution networks.
In eastern Indonesia, for example, MinyaKita distribution faces challenges from terrain or geography.
To address this issue, Bulog actively coordinates with various parties.
“Bulog is also continuously strengthening coordination with all stakeholders to ensure smooth supply in various regions, especially those with distribution terrain challenges like in Indonesia,” he added.
Furthermore, Bulog is currently enhancing the capacity of cooking oil storage warehouses.
The aim is to make MinyaKita increasingly accessible to the public in various areas at affordable prices.
“Bulog will continue to carry out the government’s mandate in ensuring the availability and affordability of food for the public,” Andi said.
Previously, during the Inflation Control Coordination Meeting at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Bulog revealed several distribution obstacles for MinyaKita.
Among these obstacles is the limited stock of MinyaKita because producers have not yet resumed supplying the people’s cooking oil to Bulog.
“For commercial MinyaKita stocks in some regions, they are indeed very limited, with no additional supply from producers yet,” said Wawan at the Inflation Coordination Meeting broadcast on the Ministry of Home Affairs’ YouTube channel on Monday (27/4/2026).
In addition, distribution faces terrain in the form of archipelagos and mountains that make logistics costs expensive.
