Perum BULOG held a BULOG Mini Soccer Fun Match in the Bintaro area, Tangerang, on Saturday (11/7). The activity served as a platform to strengthen synergy and build a space for discussion with media personnel, communities, and various stakeholders in support of the national food security programme. President Director of Perum BULOG, Letnan Jenderal TNI (Purn.) Dr. Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani, stated that sport is an effective means of enhancing communication and building collaboration. The event also facilitated more open discussions on strategic issues with stakeholders, including efforts to maintain national food security. “Through activities like this, we not only exercise together but also strengthen communication and build a common understanding with stakeholders about the importance of safeguarding national food security. Strong collaboration is one of the keys to achieving food self-sufficiency,” he said in a written statement on Saturday (11/7/2026). He noted that the success of the food security programme cannot be achieved by one party alone, but requires the support and synergy of all elements, from the government and media to communities and the wider public. Therefore, BULOG continues to open closer and more constructive communication channels with all stakeholders. “This match is a momentum to strengthen ties while discussing BULOG’s various programmes in a relaxed atmosphere. We hope the synergy built can further strengthen support for various government policies in the food sector,” he added. On the occasion, various topics were discussed, ranging from efforts to maintain supply and price stability, strengthening the Government Rice Reserves (CBP), optimising the absorption of farmers’ harvests, to the importance of collaboration in conveying accurate information to the public regarding government programmes in the food sector. The presence of a celebrity team was also part of efforts to broaden the reach of public communication. Going forward, BULOG plans to invite celebrities, communities, and media personnel to see first-hand the absorption of farmers’ grain, warehouse operations, and other strategic BULOG programmes. This is expected to increase public understanding of the government’s efforts to achieve food self-sufficiency. Through the BULOG Mini Soccer Fun Match, Perum BULOG hopes that the established relationships with stakeholders will grow closer and give rise to stronger collaboration in supporting national food security. The spirit of sportsmanship, open communication, and synergy built during the event are expected to become a shared asset in overseeing the realisation of Indonesia’s food self-sufficiency.
