Bulog DKI-Banten Intensifies Premium Rice Distribution to Modern Retail Outlets

Perum Bulog’s DKI Jakarta and Banten regional division is intensifying the distribution of premium rice to modern retail stores to ensure price stability and public access. Regional Head Taufan Akib stated that distribution is being expanded to additional outlets, including Hero, Ramayana, and Alfamart, to maintain stock levels. This initiative aims to ensure rice is traded according to government regulations while making it easier for the public to meet their needs.

President Director of Perum Bulog, Letjen TNI (Ret.) Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani, confirmed that the expansion into modern retail is a key strategy to broaden access and provide more choices for consumers. He noted that Bulog currently manages nearly 5.3 million tons of rice stock nationwide, with the figure expected to rise as domestic harvest absorption programs continue in production centres. Rizal assured the public that there is no need to worry about rice availability given the substantial stockpile.
