Jakarta (ANTARA) - Perum Bulog’s DKI Jakarta and Banten Regional Office has ensured that Minyakita branded cooking oil is available and safe in markets monitored under the Ministry of Trade’s Market and Essential Needs Monitoring System (SP2KP). “We ensure that Minyakita is available and sold at prices that remain affordable for the public, and currently the price is monitored in accordance with the highest retail price (HET) of Rp15,700 per litre,” said the Head of Bulog for the DKI Jakarta and Banten Region, Taufan Akib, in a written statement in Jakarta on Sunday. According to him, demand for Minyakita has increased in line with the public’s shift in consumption from bulk oil to simple packaged oil. However, Minyakita stocks are sufficient and able to meet public needs, particularly in SP2KP-monitored markets under the Ministry of Trade. Bulog’s DKI Jakarta and Banten Regional Office is widely distributing Minyakita to traditional markets, especially those monitored under SP2KP, so that it can be easily accessed and purchased by the public at the highest retail price (HET). As a precautionary measure, they have also requested additional Minyakita supplies from factories or producers through the Central Bulog Office. Perum Bulog’s DKI Jakarta and Banten Regional Office has distributed 7,348 thousand litres of cooking oil, with 4,189 litres distributed in DKI Jakarta Province and the remaining 3,159 litres in Banten Province. Bulog’s DKI Jakarta and Banten Regional Office, both internally and in collaboration with the Food Violation Clean Sweep Task Force (Satgas Saber), is synergising with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, and SMEs Office, Perumda Pasar Jaya, to conduct direct monitoring activities in markets. On Tuesday (14/4), they conducted monitoring at Pasar Minggu and Pasar Grogol in Jakarta to ensure smooth and even distribution of Minyakita. Monitoring and expansion of Minyakita sales continue to be carried out massively by Perum Bulog’s DKI Jakarta and Banten Regional Office to ensure that registered Bulog partner traders do not sell above the HET. “We guarantee the availability and distribution of Minyakita supplies, so that the public can easily purchase Minyakita in accordance with the HET,” said Taufan.
