Bulog distributes rice assistance to 182,398 residents in South Lampung

Perum Bulog South Lampung Branch is distributing food assistance in the form of rice to 182,398 food assistance beneficiaries (PBP) in the local regency, covering the allocation for July, August, and September 2026.

The Head of the Bulog South Lampung Branch, Fedrial Farhan, stated that the recipient data is sourced from the National Socio-Economic Single Data (DTSEN) of the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.

“The data we received is by name and by address, so the name and address of every recipient are listed directly when we receive the data from the central office,” said Fedrial during the food assistance distribution socialisation at the South Lampung Regent’s Office Hall on Tuesday.

He explained that each recipient receives 10 kilograms of rice per month. Consequently, for the three months provided at once, each recipient will receive a total of 30 kilograms of rice.

“This means every recipient will receive 30 kilograms of rice at once. For this food assistance distribution, the commodity is only rice, without cooking oil, unlike the previous allocation,” he added.

Fedrial emphasised that the food assistance is provided free of charge, so recipients do not need to incur any costs to obtain it.

“Our hope is that this assistance can help lighten the economic burden on the community, particularly in meeting basic needs, as well as helping to stabilise rice prices in the South Lampung area,” said Fedrial.

Bulog, he noted, is also committed to ensuring that the rice distributed to the community meets the required quality standards and quantity as stipulated.

He urged recipients to report immediately if they receive rice that is below medium quality standards or if the quantity is less than 10 kilograms per sack.

“Please report and contact the distribution officers in your respective villages, or contact us directly, so that we can carry out replacements immediately. We want to provide high-quality rice for the community,” said Fedrial.

According to him, this complaint mechanism is essential to ensure that the food assistance distributed by the government is truly received by the community in the appropriate condition and quantity.

“Our hope is that the rice we distribute is well-targeted, of the right quality, and on time,” he concluded.
