Bulog Distributes Rice and Cooking Oil to 58,996 Recipients in North Lombok
Perum Bulog’s NTB regional office is distributing food assistance to communities in North Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. A total of 58,996 recipients are benefiting from the aid.
Bulog’s Marketing Director, Febby Novita, personally distributed the national programme’s food assistance in Gili Indah and Malaka villages, North Lombok. The aid consists of 20 kilograms of rice and 4 litres of cooking oil for the February-March allocation to Food Assistance Recipients (PBP).
“The distribution process is carried out directly to the beneficiaries, accompanied by data collection and verification to ensure the accuracy of the delivery,” said Febby on Wednesday (8/4/2026).
Febby assured the availability and affordability of food in NTB. This food assistance must truly be felt by the community. “We ensure that food stocks in the NTB region are sufficient to support the smooth distribution of aid,” she stated.
The food assistance distribution in North Lombok Regency is targeted at 58,996 recipients. To date, distribution has been realised in Bayan Sub-district for 14,736 recipients and in Pemenang Sub-district for 8,950 recipients.
“Meanwhile, for Gangga, Kayangan, and Tanjung sub-districts, the target is to complete within this week,” Febby explained.
She emphasised that Bulog in the NTB region must be at the forefront in maintaining the stability of food supply and prices. This aligns with the government’s commitment to strengthening national food resilience.
The head of Perum Bulog NTB Regional Office, Mara Kamin Siregar, stated that accelerating the distribution of assistance is an important strategy to control market conditions after Eid.
“Post-Idul Fitri, we are intensifying the distribution of food assistance as an effort to maintain price stability and ensure that people’s purchasing power remains maintained,” she said.
Mara added that Bulog is committed to carrying out government assignments with the principles of being on target, on time, and in the right quantity. “We ensure that this programme runs sustainably, including after National Religious Holidays, so that the community continues to have access to staple food ingredients at affordable prices,” she added.
In addition to Mataram City, food assistance distribution is also being carried out simultaneously in other work areas. The East Lombok Branch Office is distributing aid in Sukamulia Village, Sukamulia Sub-district, East Lombok Regency.
According to her, this food assistance programme is part of the management of the Government Rice Reserves (CBP) by Perum Bulog in maintaining the continuity of the national food supply chain, from the farmer level to consumers.
“We guarantee that the community can meet their basic needs safely and affordably,” Mara stressed.
