Bulog Deputy Director Conducts Surprise Inspection of Retailers and Warehouses in Palangka Raya

Palangka Raya - The Deputy Director of Bulog, Marga Taufiq, led a surprise inspection of modern retail stores and warehouses in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan, on Wednesday. “We directly inspected the conditions at modern retail outlets. Food stocks are available and prices received by the public are in accordance with regulations,” said Marga Taufiq in Palangka Raya. He confirmed that as of 12 August 2026, the stock managed by the Central Kalimantan Regional Office of Bulog included 17,892 tonnes of rice, approximately 958,000 litres of cooking oil, and 121,000 kilograms of granulated sugar. At the Bulog warehouse in Bukit Tunggal, there were around 1,935 tonnes of rice, 79,000 litres of cooking oil, 29,000 kilograms of sugar, and 22,000 kilograms of corn prepared to support distribution. Marga explained that the rice stock managed by Bulog in Central Kalimantan is projected to meet distribution needs for up to ten months, urging the public not to worry about food availability. The inspection was conducted jointly with the Food Task Force, the Central Kalimantan Trade and Industry Office, and the Central Kalimantan Food Security Office.
