Perum Bulog President Director Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani has stated that the XVII National Gathering of Leading Farmers and Fishermen (Penas KTNA) in 2026 in Gorontalo Province represents a strategic momentum to strengthen national food security, as well as the agricultural and fisheries sectors. Speaking in Gorontalo on Tuesday, Ahmad Rizal said he was in the region to oversee preparations for the peak event of Penas KTNA XVII. He described Penas KTNA as an important forum for strengthening collaboration between the government, farmers, fishermen, and all food stakeholders. “Bulog is ready to support and synergise with all parties so that this event runs successfully, safely, and provides real benefits for strengthening national food security,” he said. The XVII Penas KTNA in 2026 is one of the strategic national agendas that brings together farmers, fishermen, extension workers, academics, business actors, and the government from across Indonesia. He stated that the presence of the President of the Republic of Indonesia at the peak event is expected to boost the spirit of transformation in the food sector towards achieving sustainable food self-sufficiency. Through intensive coordination with the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (Polri), local government, and all stakeholders, Perum Bulog is optimistic that the XVII Penas KTNA 2026 in Gorontalo can be conducted safely, orderly, and successfully. A series of coordination meetings were held with the Gorontalo Provincial Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) to ensure readiness for the peak event, which is planned to be attended directly by President Prabowo Subianto. The coordination began with a visit to the 133/Nani Wartabone Military Resort Command Headquarters, where he was received by Commander Brigadier General TNI Hardo Sihotang. The meeting discussed various aspects of event preparedness, particularly regarding security support and the smooth running of the national agenda, which will host thousands of participants from all over Indonesia. He subsequently visited the Gorontalo Regional Police Headquarters and was received directly by Chief of Police Inspector General Widodo. The meeting focused on synergy and strategic measures to maintain security and order, ensuring all series of Penas KTNA activities proceed safely and smoothly. As part of the cross-sector coordination, he also attended a preparatory meeting held at the Governor of Gorontalo’s official residence. The meeting was chaired directly by Governor Gusnar Ismail and attended by members of the Gorontalo Provincial Forkopimda and various relevant stakeholders.
