The CEO of Perum BULOG, Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani, carried out a direct inspection and monitoring at Pasar Minggu and Pasar Grogol in Jakarta today. The activity aimed to ensure the availability of Minyakita cooking oil is secure and accessible in traditional markets.

In the activity, BULOG collaborated with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Office of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, and SMEs, Perumda Pasar Jaya, as well as the BULOG Regional Office for DKI Jakarta & Banten.

Ahmad Rizal stated that Minyakita stocks are adequate and capable of meeting public needs, particularly in traditional markets.

“We ensure that Minyakita is available and sold at prices that remain affordable for the public. Currently, the price is monitored in accordance with the HET at Rp15,700 per litre,” he said in a written statement on Tuesday (14/4/2026).

He explained that demand for Minyakita has increased along with the shift in public consumption from bulk oil to simple packaged oil. To anticipate this, BULOG has proposed an increase in supply quotas to maintain distribution.

“We see an increase in demand, so we have taken anticipatory steps by proposing additional supplies. The aim is for the public not to have difficulty obtaining Minyakita,” he clarified.

Ahmad Rizal added that for national rice commodities, the current stock is around 4.7 million tonnes, and paddy procurement is still ongoing. BULOG is optimistic that national food availability remains secure.

He emphasised that this monitoring activity will continue to be carried out periodically in various regions as part of efforts to maintain food stability and public purchasing power.

“BULOG, together with the government, will continue to be present among the public to ensure food needs, including rice and Minyakita, are well available,” he said.

With these proactive steps, BULOG is optimistic that the availability of rice and Minyakita in the market will remain maintained, thereby supporting price stability and safeguarding public purchasing power.

For information, during this activity, Ahmad Rizal was accompanied by Marketing Director Febby Novita along with the team.
