Bulog CEO Ensures Targeted Distribution of Food Assistance in Bekasi
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Perum Bulog’s Director General Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani has ensured that the distribution of food assistance in Bekasi City, West Java, is proceeding accurately through strict supervision to maintain the precision of recipients and the effectiveness of the government aid distribution.
“This monitoring is conducted to ensure that the food assistance distribution runs smoothly, reaches the right targets, and complies with the provisions set by the government,” Rizal stated when contacted in Jakarta on Wednesday.
Perum Bulog carried out monitoring activities for the distribution of food assistance in the form of rice and cooking oil allocated for February–March 2026 in Bantar Gebang Ward, Bekasi City, West Java, on Wednesday (15/4).
Rizal stated that he was accompanied by the Head of Bulog’s West Java Region, Nurman Susilo, and officials from the Bekasi City Government in directly leading the supervision of the food assistance distribution.
He explained that this food assistance distribution is part of the government programme initiated by President Prabowo Subianto to assist the community and maintain national food stability.
“This morning, on Wednesday, 15 April 2026, praise be to God, this is the scheduled distribution of food assistance from the President to the community,” he said.
Therefore, Rizal continued, his team conducted checks in Bantar Gebang Ward, Bekasi City.
“The community’s enthusiasm was very high from 08.00 until 10.30 WIB, and it was still crowded. The community has been eagerly awaiting this food assistance,” Rizal remarked.
He explained that the assistance distributed complies with the provisions, namely 20 kg of rice and 4 litres of cooking oil for the two-month allocation (February–March), with details of 10 kg of rice and 2 litres of cooking oil per beneficiary each month.
For the Bantar Gebang Ward area, the number of Food Assistance Recipients (PBP) is recorded at around 2,066 recipients. Nationally, the total number of food assistance recipients exceeds 33 million PBP.
Furthermore, Rizal stated that the food assistance distribution is carried out through synergy with the Bekasi City Government and support from the TNI to accelerate the process and ensure that the community receives maximum assistance.
“This distribution is targeted to be completed by 31 May. With cooperation between Bulog, the TNI, local government, and all parties, God willing, this target can be achieved,” Rizal added.
Through this monitoring activity, Perum Bulog reaffirms its commitment to ensuring the smooth distribution of food assistance, targeting the right recipients, and providing tangible benefits to communities across various regions in Indonesia on a sustainable basis.
