BULOG CEO Attends Inauguration of BPK Member as Honorary Professor

The President Director of Perum BULOG, retired Lieutenant General Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani, attended the inauguration of Slamet Edy Purnomo, Member VII of the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK RI), as an Honorary Professor at Sultan Agung Islamic University (UNISSULA) in Semarang. The presence of the BULOG chief at the academic ceremony was a form of respect and support for strengthening synergy between state institutions in realising good governance, particularly in supporting the national strategic agenda of food security. In his scientific oration, Slamet Edy Purnomo emphasised that food security is a main pillar of national resilience requiring accountable, collaborative, and sustainable governance. BPK RI is committed to supporting government programmes through constructive audit functions so that every strategic policy, including in the food sector, can run effectively, efficiently, and transparently, providing maximum benefit to the public. During the event, the President Director of Perum BULOG was mentioned several times as a state-owned enterprise leader with a strategic role in supporting the implementation of government policies in the food sector. This reflects the importance of BULOG’s role as a state instrument in maintaining the stability of national food supply and prices. Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani expressed his appreciation for the honorary professorship awarded to Slamet Edy Purnomo. ‘We congratulate Prof. Dr. Slamet Edy Purnomo on his inauguration as Honorary Professor at UNISSULA.
