Bulog CEO Assures Stability of Minyakita Cooking Oil Prices and Ample Stock
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Perum Bulog’s CEO Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani has assured that the price of Minyakita branded cooking oil is stable, with ample stock and smooth distribution across various regions in Indonesia. “The availability of Minyakita is ensured to be sufficient and widely distributed across various regions,” Rizal stated in Jakarta on Saturday. He emphasised this in response to various dynamics related to Minyakita simple cooking oil. Bulog affirms that supply and price conditions in the field remain stable and controlled. Rizal stated that his side has taken strategic steps in responding to the increased demand for Minyakita through stock optimisation, accelerated distribution, and strengthened coordination with producers, distributors, and local governments. The entire supply chain is maintained to remain efficient and on target, especially to meet public needs. “Bulog ensures Minyakita is available at reasonable prices and sufficient supply,” he said. The state-owned food company continues to strengthen distribution to reach all communities evenly. “Inaccurate information has the potential to cause unrest, so it is important for the public to remain calm,” he said. In addition, Bulog also plays an active role in supporting the monitoring of Minyakita distribution in the field by conducting direct monitoring to markets to ensure real conditions on the ground. In the monitoring conducted, his side found that Minyakita was sold for Rp15,700 per litre, one of which was at Pasar Grogol and Pasar Minggu, Jakarta. “Monitoring results show that distribution is running smoothly, stock is available, and prices are relatively stable in accordance with applicable provisions,” he stressed. Through close synergy with the government and stakeholders, Rizal added, Bulog continues to ensure that the balance between supply and needs remains maintained. The government has also affirmed that national cooking oil stock is in a safe and sufficient condition. “Therefore, the public is urged not to engage in excessive buying (panic buying) and to continue shopping wisely according to needs. Active public participation is an important part in maintaining market stability,” said Rizal.
