Bulog CEO Ahmad Rizal earns doctorate from University of Indonesia
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Perum Bulog President Director Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani has completed his doctoral programme at the University of Indonesia’s Postgraduate School in the field of Sustainable Development, as part of developing his leadership and academic competencies.
Rizal expressed gratitude to Allah SWT for the smooth completion of the entire educational process and acknowledged the support of his parents and family throughout his studies.
“Alhamdulillah, I was able to complete my doctoral programme at the University of Indonesia’s Postgraduate School in the field of Sustainable Development smoothly,” Rizal said when contacted in Jakarta on Friday.
He said the doctoral education in Sustainable Development was part of his efforts to continuously improve his capacity, insight and competence in carrying out his mandate and service to the nation and state.
“Particularly through Perum Bulog’s role in strengthening national food security and self-sufficiency,” he said.
He expressed appreciation and gratitude to President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto, Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman, Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan, Indonesian National Armed Forces Commander General Agus Subiyanto, and Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army General Maruli Simanjuntak for their support during the educational process.
He also thanked the entire Perum Bulog family and all parties who provided prayers, support and encouragement until the doctoral programme could be completed successfully.
“This achievement certainly cannot be separated from the prayers and support of many parties,” he said.
According to him, the doctoral degree he earned is not the end of a journey, but rather part of a learning process to improve the quality of service and provide a greater contribution to the nation and state.
He affirmed that the knowledge gained during his education would be utilised and implemented to improve service to the nation and state, especially in the sustainable food security sector.
“Going forward, we want Bulog to be increasingly professional, stronger, and able to carry out its role as the orchestrator of national food logistics, even having capacity and competitiveness at the international level,” he said.
That aspiration, according to him, is in line with Indonesia’s enormous potential going forward. With the resources, strategic position and economic growth opportunities that Indonesia possesses, Bulog can continue to transform and take on an increasingly strategic role in the logistics ecosystem, not only at the national level but also with the potential to operate internationally.
“My aspiration is to bring Bulog to become a professional and strong national logistics orchestrator, even with the potential to play a role internationally. This certainly requires joint work, professionalism, innovation and commitment from all Bulog personnel,” he stressed.
He affirmed that Bulog’s transformation and strengthening role would continue to be directed towards answering increasingly complex food challenges, while supporting the national development agenda sustainably.
“We want to ensure that every step taken by Bulog provides benefits to the community, supports national food security, and ultimately contributes to realising a prosperous society towards Golden Indonesia 2045,” he said.
As a state-owned public company entrusted with government assignments in the food sector, Bulog continues to strengthen its role in maintaining national food availability and stability.
Strengthening human resource competencies, innovation, professionalism and leadership are important parts of supporting the implementation of these tasks.
He also expressed hope that this academic achievement could inspire all Bulog personnel to continue improving their capacity, strengthening professionalism, and providing the best work and service for the company, the nation and the state.
