Bulog CEO Affirms Commitment to Sustainable Food Self-Sufficiency
President Director of Perum Bulog Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani has affirmed the company’s commitment to safeguarding sustainable food self-sufficiency by strengthening harvest absorption, stabilising supply, and siding with farmers and fishers. “Bulog is committed to continuously supporting farmers, fishers, and all national food actors in realising sustainable food self-sufficiency,” Rizal said in Jakarta on Monday. He noted that this commitment was previously conveyed at the XVII National Farmers and Fishers Week 2026 Dialogue in Gorontalo, which was attended by more than 370 farmers and fishers from across Indonesia. Rizal stated that achieving food self-sufficiency cannot be separated from the hard work of farmers, fishers, and food actors throughout the archipelago. According to Rizal, farmers and fishers are the nation’s food heroes who play a major role in maintaining food availability for all Indonesians and therefore must receive sustainable support. He stressed that food security is not only about stock availability, but also about siding with farmers, fishers, and all food actors who are the spearhead of national production. For this reason, Bulog will continue to be present as a strategic partner through harvest absorption, strengthening food reserves, and stabilising supply and prices to support the realisation of national food self-sufficiency.
