Bulog: Budget for Constructing 100 New Warehouses Reaches Rp5 Trillion
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Perum Bulog states that the budget for constructing 100 new warehouses or post-harvest infrastructure reaches approximately Rp5 trillion as part of strengthening the national food system.
Perum Bulog’s President Director, Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani, said that the construction is a follow-up to Presidential Regulation (Perpres) No. 14 of 2026.
“The total budget is Rp5 trillion. Broadly speaking, for the main infrastructure around Rp4.4 trillion, while for mechanisation and automation as well as IT around Rp0.56 trillion,” said Ahmad Rizal in Jakarta on Wednesday.
He explained that the construction will be carried out in 92 regencies as part of strengthening the national post-harvest system.
He added that the construction is still in the planning stage before entering the construction phase.
“Our next step is to prepare feasibility studies, both simple and complete ones, involving various parties including universities and the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN),” he stated.
In addition, Bulog will coordinate with the Ministry of Agriculture to obtain technical considerations according to the characteristics of the regions.
“If these three elements are fulfilled, we will then report to Mr. Coordinating Minister for Food to obtain official approval and can be built immediately,” he revealed.
He added that the construction will involve state-owned construction enterprises (BUMN Karya) as implementers in accordance with the provisions in the Perpres.
With this infrastructure strengthening, Bulog targets an increase in national storage capacity and harvest management.
