State Logistics Agency (Perum Bulog) Regional Office Bengkulu distributes approximately 250,000 litres of Minyakkita cooking oil every month to meet public demand while supporting supply stabilisation in Bengkulu Province. “We are intensifying the marketing of Minyakkita to markets. We are optimising all channels to stabilise and maintain public purchasing power by distributing Minyakkita to remote areas,” said Head of Bulog Regional Office Bengkulu Doddy Syahrial in Bengkulu on Wednesday. Doddy stated that Minyakkita distribution is carried out through a network of retailers in traditional markets across Bengkulu City and regencies according to market needs. He noted that the distribution volume is adjusted based on demand from traders who coordinate with local trade offices to ensure supply is maintained. He mentioned that the average monthly distribution of Minyakkita reaches 200,000 to 250,000 litres. To support smooth distribution, Bulog currently holds a stock of around 300,000 litres of Minyakkita. In addition to relying on available stock, Bulog continues to bring in additional supplies from Lampung, Medan, and Palembang to ensure the needs of the community in Bengkulu Province are met. Doddy explained that the distribution of Minyakkita is part of the government’s assignment to Bulog based on a policy to expand the marketing of public cooking oil through various distribution channels. He said Bulog will continue to optimise the distribution of Minyakkita to various areas in Bengkulu as an effort to maintain supply availability and support the stability of cooking oil prices at the community level. In addition to cooking oil, Perum Bulog Regional Office Bengkulu has also absorbed 4,050 tonnes of rice equivalent in unhulled rice from farmers in the first semester of 2026, surpassing the government’s procurement target of approximately 3,100 tonnes of rice equivalent. “Alhamdulillah, we have achieved it. From the target given by the Ministry of Agriculture for Bengkulu Province of approximately 3,100 tonnes of rice equivalent, our absorption has reached around 4,050 tonnes of rice equivalent. We obtained this absorption during the first planting season of 2026,” he said. Doddy stated that this achievement demonstrates that the absorption of unhulled rice and rice from farmers in Bengkulu during the first planting season ran optimally, enabling it to exceed the government’s target. This absorption also forms part of the preparation of the government rice reserve (CBP) to meet regional food needs.
