Jakarta (ANTARA) - Perum Bulog states that 100 sites for post-harvest infrastructure development have been completed and approved in a limited coordination meeting of the Coordinating Ministry for Food Affairs, and are ready to proceed to the next administrative stage.

Bulog’s President Director, Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani, said the 100 sites are distributed across 26 Bulog regional offices and 92 regencies/cities.

“Alhamdulillah, those 100 locations have been approved today. We hope to follow up soon with the subsequent administrative processes,” Ahmad said after the limited coordination meeting in Jakarta on Wednesday.

He explained that the follow-up includes completing the next administrative stages, namely signing by the Minister of Agriculture and the Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs for approval.

“Bulog’s feasibility studies have been approved 100 percent, technical considerations from the Ministry of Agriculture are also 100 percent approved, and additionally, the state-owned enterprises’ (BUMN) assessment is 100 percent approved,” he stated.

Ahmad said the post-harvest infrastructure development is not limited to warehouses but is adjusted to the potential of each site.

He mentioned that warehouse capacities vary from 1,000 tonnes to 3,500 tonnes per unit, with additional facilities such as dryers, rice milling units (RMU), and packaging in certain areas.

“If we calculate the total number of buildings, it is approximately for accommodating around 900,000 tonnes,” he said.
