Bullying Victim in Pati Suffers Severe Trauma, Social Agency Dispatches Psychologist

A seventh-grade student at an Islamic junior high school (MTs) in Margorejo District, Pati Regency, identified as AF, is experiencing severe trauma after an alleged bullying incident. The victim’s family reports that AF remains withdrawn and fearful, particularly at the sight of the school and teachers. “The trauma is quite severe. He is always scared when passing the school and seeing his teachers,” a family member, Sulistyono, stated.

In response, the Pati Regency Social Office for Women’s Empowerment, Child Protection, and Family Planning (Dinsos P3AKB) has dispatched a psychologist to provide initial psychological support. Hartono, head of the local Women and Children Protection Unit (UPTD PPA), confirmed that assistance will continue until the victim fully recovers and can resume normal activities. “We are currently adjusting the schedule for psychological support so the victim can return to normal activities,” Hartono said.

The agency plans to monitor the victim’s progress for up to three months while awaiting further developments. The family also intends to transfer the victim to a different school once his condition stabilises. The alleged bullying resulted in the amputation of two of the victim’s fingers.
