Buleleng Regent Sutjidra Reminds Civil Servants Not to Merely Enjoy PNS Status
Buleleng Regent I Nyoman Sutjidra inaugurated and handed over decrees to 123 Civil Servants (PNS) from the 2024 Formation within the Buleleng Regency Government. Sutjidra reminded the newly appointed state civil apparatus (ASN) not to merely enjoy the status of being a PNS, but to demonstrate genuine dedication to the community.
The inauguration and oath-taking ceremony for the Buleleng Regency Government PNS took place at the Gde Manik Arts Building in Singaraja, Bali, on Monday (15/6/2026). Sutjidra emphasised that the PNS status is a mandate that must be accounted for.
“The choice to become a PNS is a mandate. You must support good governance, provide the best service to the community, and contribute to efforts to improve the welfare of the people of Buleleng,” Sutjidra told the hundreds of newly inaugurated PNS.
He appreciated the struggle of the ASN who successfully passed all stages of the selection process until finally being appointed as PNS. However, Sutjidra cautioned that the real challenges actually begin after officially becoming a state civil apparatus.
Sutjidra asked the new PNS to uphold the values of BerAKHLAK, maintain integrity, and show dedication and professionalism in their work. He asserted that he will not tolerate ASN who fail to carry out their function as public servants.
“As the personnel supervisor, I will not hesitate to take action if there are ASN who do not perform their role as public servants properly,” added the PDIP politician.
Sutjidra then highlighted the commitment to service of civil apparatus in Buleleng Regency. The regent, who hails from Bontihing Village, also reminded them that there should no longer be any barriers based on regional origin once they have chosen to become PNS of the Buleleng Regency Government.
“When you have declared yourselves to serve in Buleleng, then give sincere dedication to Buleleng,” said Sutjidra.
“Be good servants, do not become part of the problem, but become the solution for the progress of Buleleng,” he concluded.
