Buleleng Government Optimises Lovina Festival 2026 to Boost Tourism

The Buleleng Regency Government is finalising preparations for the Lovina Festival 2026, which will take place from 24 to 29 July as part of efforts to boost tourism. The festival is included in the Kharisma Event Nusantara (KEN) 2026 programme. Committee Chair Putu Ayu Reika Nurhaeni stated during a meeting at the Culture and Tourism Office on Monday that all regional apparatus organisations (OPD) have been asked to ensure their respective readiness so that the festival runs safely, orderly, and comfortably for tourists. She noted that the meeting was the final stage of perfecting all technical aspects before the opening on Friday (24/7). To support the smooth running of the event, the Transportation Office has prepared 10 parking pockets spread across the festival area with support from Kalibukbuk and Kaliasem Villages to anticipate vehicle congestion. For security, the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) and related elements will conduct screening, patrols, and security at 14 strategic points during the festival. The Fire and Rescue Service has also placed personnel on standby to anticipate emergency conditions, while the Health Office has prepared medical services for visitors. The Environmental Office has set up temporary waste disposal sites in the activity area and scheduled clean-ups three times a day. Micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) participants have also been asked to manage waste from the source to maintain the cleanliness of the tourist area. In the economic sector, the Trade, Industry, Cooperatives, and Small and Medium Enterprises Office has curated 82 MSMEs to ensure the products marketed are of the best quality and capable of attracting tourist interest. The Communication, Informatics, and Statistics Office has prepared public communication services, including documentation, media publications, press conference facilitation, news release preparation, mobile broadcasts, and live streaming so the public can follow the series of activities online. The Lovina Festival 2026 will feature various attractions, including a mini sailing boat competition, a run, cross country, a Gerumbungan cow race, a fish-eating movement, cultural art performances, and modern music entertainment. The festival is expected to increase tourist visits, drive the local economy, and strengthen Lovina’s position as a leading tourist destination in North Bali.
