Bukit Sentul nightmare

Having been a resident here for about four years, I wish to address myself to the developers, particularly the owners and shareholders as this has everything to do with management of this estate.

For your efforts in marketing and outward appearances we can only gave you high marks. But when it comes to after-sale service all you need to do is ask the home owners. This home owner loves the location, and fresh air and the convenience of the estate; my problem is with the after-sale management team and the obsession with the security. It is almost as if they want to do everything they can to make us miserable.

We decided to set up an association in order to unite and collectively deal with serious problems at the estate, such as the near tripling of water rates and the never-ending saga of security related problems.

And to top it all off, the management of Bukit Sentul felt it necessary to increase the Iuran Pengelolaan Lingkungan (IPL), or the environmental management contribution by 350 percent. No reasonable customer can live with this kind of treatment. So we collectively for the past year agreed as members to refuse to pay these so-called dues for which no one ever signed any agreement. Hence our contribution is voluntary on our part.

Another example of a broken promise is no longer allowing the residents to use the advertised and promised lake at the estate for jet ski use. Had it not been for this facility we never would have moved here in the first place.

We are now confronted with another new game in which we the home owners are required to submit a copy of our identity card (KTP) and or our passport in order to be able to go home, whereas all others who live around the estate can just go in and out as they please. Actually, Bukit Sentul security has no authority to demand such things as they do not represent the law, so we have the intention of ignoring this.
