UNGARAN — The Bukit Cinta tourism attraction continues to enhance its offerings ahead of the 2026 Eid holiday period.

In addition to renovation works, new attractions are being added to provide visitors with a memorable experience when visiting the tourism destination located on the outskirts of Rawa Pening.

“New attractions will be ready to open just in time for this year’s Eid holiday. This way, visitors will be able to enjoy the various new attractions that have been prepared,” said Wiwin Sulistyowati, Head of the Tourism Office of Semarang Regency, on Monday (16 March 2026).

Wiwin stated that Bukit Cinta continues to rely on water-based attractions as its flagship offering to draw visitors. However, this time visitors will not only be able to enjoy the scenery and tourist boats.

Visitors will be able to try jetskis, decorated boats, dragon boats, and giant-sized inflatable ducks. “There will also be water play attractions,” said Wiwin.

“The food menu will feature both local specialities and contemporary dishes to serve visitors,” she explained.

“We hope that by transforming into a family-friendly destination with a range of new attractions, from water attractions to an animal education area, there will be an increase in visitor numbers. And we also hope they will return to Bukit Cinta again, not just visit once,” Wiwin said.

In response to extreme weather conditions and strong winds that have been occurring recently, the Tourism Office has emphasised strict safety procedures.

Operators are certified and visitors are required to wear life jackets. We are also collaborating with the Regional Disaster Management Agency, police and volunteers for security patrols,” she said.
