Bukit Asam Targets 49.5 Million Tonnes of Production and Sales in 2026
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) is targeting a production and sales volume of 49.5 million tonnes in 2026 after the company’s work plan and budget (RKAB) was approved without any volume cuts. PTBA’s President Director Arsal Ismail stated that the company welcomes the approval of the RKAB as a basis for maintaining this year’s performance. “As of 6 March, the company’s RKAB has been approved without any reduction in the volume we proposed,” Arsal said during a press conference in Jakarta on Monday. He explained that the 2026 production and sales target is around nearly 50 million tonnes and is expected to reach 50 million tonnes. “The company is targeting this production and sales volume at around nearly 50 million, or 49.5 million, but we hope it can achieve 50 million later,” he said. Arsal noted that coal prices in 2026 are showing an upward trend since the beginning of the year, although volatility still needs to be monitored. He mentioned that the Indonesian Coal Index (ICI) 1 is currently approaching 140, while ICI 3 is in the range of 73, providing room for improvement in selling prices.
